Two separate wind turbines being proposed by businesses in Argyll have been recommended for refusal by planners.
Shellfish business Celtic Sea Ltd at Arduaine, south of Oban, is seeking consent for a 111ft tall (to blade tip) 50KW turbine.
The structure would power the plant at Arduaine where the shellfish are purified, packed and dispatched.
Brian Neish, of Barbreck Farm, Kilchrenan, Taynuilt, wants to build a 200ft tall to blade tip turbine on land north east of the farm.
Mr Neish runs a landscaping business in Oban, and income from the turbine would assist expanding the business in the recycling of council and garden waste into compost.
The turbine proposed by Celtic Sea has attracted 34 objections and no expressions of support, while the turbine at Kilchrenan has attracted 27 objections and two expressions of support.
Both applications will be considered by Argyll and Bute Council’s planning committee on Wednesday.
