Santa’s best of friends, his reindeer, are preparing for a busy Christmas by relaxing at the Cairngorms National Park.
These pictures show reindeer herders Zac Brown and Jess Greaves feeding the animals who were first introduced to Scotland in 1952 by Swedish Sami reindeer herder, Mikel Utsi.
Starting with just a few reindeer the herd has grown over the years and currently stands at about 130.
The herd roams on 2,500 hectares of Cairngorms hill ground all year round, regardless of the weather conditions.
