The man, who has not been named, was rescued by firefighters following the incident near Eilean Donan Castle at Dornie, just before 4.30am. A fire service spokeswoman said: “ The man had fallen down a steep hill into the river at Carr Brae viewpoint. “A crew from Kyle attended and used cutting gear to get through a fence, then assisted the man up the hill to the ambulance.” An ambulance service spokeswoman said he was taken to Broadford Hospital on Skye. However, she was unable to provide any information regarding the nature of his injuries or his condition. Kyle Lifeboat was also launched and Kyle and Broadford coastguard rescue teams attended at the scene, but they were not required.
