Lifeboats involved in the search for the crew of the Cemfjord have finished their search with no sign of survivors.
Volunteers from four communities spent most of the day scouring the coastline of Caithness and Orkney.
Coastguard teams also searched the shore on foot.
The Shetland Coastguard helicopter and a Sea King fron RAF Lossiemouth were also involved and could be seen flying around the north coast and Orkney yesterday morning.
However the lifeboats from Wick, Thurso, Stromness and Longhope were stood down after 1.30pm after finding no sign of the Cemfjord’s eight crew.
