Trees have fallen onto many routes and other roads are covered in debris. The northbound carriageway at the Kessock Bridge on the A9 Inverness-Thurso road is shut because of a fallen tree. Bear Scotland engineers are on scene. Two lorries were also blown over on the A9 Inverness-Perth road at Drumochter earlier this morning. The second lorry which was blown over at Drumochter There is no further information at present. Officers have also warned against travelling on causeways or low lying coastal roads. The Dornoch Bridge and the Skye Bridge are currently closed to high sided vehicles due to high winds. The Churchill Barriers in Orkney also remain closed.
