A police spokeswoman confirmed that they were investigating the discovery, and said the remains at Drumnadrochit are “believed to be historic”. The “human skeletal remains” were found at the north side of the village where construction has started on Drumnadrochit’s new medical centre. The area where the remains were found was fenced off until forensic experts carry out an investigation.
