Driver in hospital after bus smash on A95

A car driver has been taken hospital after a collision with a bus on a Highland road.

Emergency services were called to the accident at t Drumuillie on the A95 Aviemore to Grantown road around 7.19am.

Firefighters had to use stabilisation equipment to steady the car before the driver was removed from the vehicle.

A police spokesman said that there had been no passengers on the bus and its driver was uninjured.

The road was closed for over an hour after the collision.

One lane is now open and police are directing traffic past the location.

Both vehicles will need to be recovered.
