Stornoway Coastguard called the lifeboat out at 1.50am. The lifeboat left Oban with two paramedics aboard and reached the super-quary that has no road access by 2.30am. The patient was transferred to the lifeboat and taken to Oban where an ambulance took him to Lorn and the Isles Hospital. His condition is not known.
