Police are investigating after the agricultural joy ride between 6.30pm on Saturday, January 17 and 5.20am the following morning. The blue Ford 7840 and a trailer were taken from a field on Balloan Farm and driven west on the B9163, where the trailer detached a short time later. Police believe that the tractor thieves continued west , crossing the A9 and driving towards Conon Bridge. A bus shelter was struck and destroyed on the Leanaig Road. The vehicle was then driven into the grounds of Riverside Garage in the village. A police spokeswoman said: “Whilst being driven this tractor has caused extensive damage to both private and public property. “If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact Police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
