Services operating to and from Oban and Mallaig are being directly affected by the changes.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Temperatures in Oban have reached highs of 23C with Mallaig experiencing highs of 20C.

Rail officials have apologised for the disruption.
In a statement, published on their website, they wrote: “Because of a speed restriction because of high track temperatures trains have to run at reduced speed on the line.
“Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”
Speed restrictions have been imposed at a series of hot spots along the line including Locheilside Station, Craigendoran Junction, Garelochhead Station and Bridge of Orchy Station.
Cancellations due to staff shortages
Disruption is also being felt on the line as a result of staff shortages.
ScotRail’s 4.11pm service from Oban to Glasgow has been cancelled due to a shortage of train drivers.
