A former Casualty actress will be summoned to appear in court next month on two charges alleging she allowed herself to become “intoxicated” and incapable of looking after children in her care.
Imogen Boorman, 43, of Coach House West, Kindeace, Invergordon, was not at Tain Sheriff Court yesterday when
the case was called, but the matter was continued without plea for her to appear on February 20.
She is facing one charge of willfully exposing children in a manner likely to cause them unnecessary suffering or injury to health, while allowing herself to become intoxicated on November 13, 2014.
Boorman is also charged with behaving in a threatening and abusive manner likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm by shouting, swearing and behaving aggressively.
Boorman is best known for starring in the prime-time BBC One hospital drama as Nikki Wyatt.
As well as being a regular in Casualty, the TV star made other regular appearances in the past including guest roles in Lovejoy, May to December, Coronation Street and the Ruth Rendell Mysteries.
