Police yesterday named a man who died in a house fire in Aviemore and appealed for sightings of him before the incident.
Officers said that Colin Glen, 38, was last seen near the Co-op supermarket in the village’s Granish Road at around 6.30pm on Tuesday night.
Mr Glen’s body was found after firefighters extinguished the blaze at his property in the Strathspey Avenue area of the village on Wednesday morning.
It is unclear at this stage if the fire is being treated as suspicious but a joint police and fire service investigation is ongoing.
Police are also appealing to anyone who saw Mr Glen in the Inverness or Aviemore areas during the afternoon or evening of Tuesday, February 3, to contact them.
He is described as 5ft 10ins, of slim build with short, brown wavy hair. It is thought that he was wearing a black jacket with red zips and grey trousers, black boots, and carrying an Umbro back-pack.
Anyone with further information on Mr Glen’s movements or the fire is urged to contact police on 101.
