Pictures of a glorious, golden sunset igniting the northern tip of the Cairngorm mountain range have emerged online.
Snowboarders and skiers across the country will be filled with envy tonight viewing these stunning images from one of Scotland’s biggest ski resorts.
Cairngorm Mountain experienced perfect conditions today as sunny, clear skies were seen across parts the country.
Workers at the resort posted these images of the golden skies igniting Scotland’s very own Arctic online.
The weather conditions in the north-east and parts of the north has significantly improved following last week’s wintry blizzards.
This morning the resort – near Aviemore – opened nearly all of its runs, with the temperature 4C at the start of the day.
The Met Office forecast “some bright or sunny spells in the east” today, while the north-east has also basked in similar sunshine.
