A man has been arrested in connection with alleged cannabis cultivation in Dingwall.
A 25-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal for drug offences after police raided a property in the Ross-shire town on Wednesday.
A police spokesman said they recovered a number of plants, associated materials and a three figure sum of money.
Police estimate that the plants had the potential to reach a value of around £8,000.
Dingwall based Inspector Nicola MacKenzie said: “Police Scotland Highland and Islands Division remains committed to disrupting the supply of illegal drugs in the north.
“Cannabis, in addition to all other illegal drugs and new pyschoactive substances (NPS), has the potential to ruin lives and entire communities – often targeting the most vulnerable members of society.
“Police will always act on information received from members of the public and would therefore encourage communities to remain vigilant at all times and for anyone with information or concerns regarding suspicious behaviour in their area to contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
