Oban Lifeboat was called out twice in 24 hours to evacuate patients from the isle of Mull.
The volunteer crew launched at 11.10pm last night (Sunday) with two paramedics on board. They collected a woman from Craignure who was requiring hospital treatment and took her and her partner back to Oban at 12.35am today.
She was then conveyed by ambulance to Lorn and the Islands Hospital, Oban. Details of the woman’s condition are at this time unknown.
The lifeboat was also called to Mull in the early hours of Sunday morning after a 39-year-old man fell off his bicycle in Tobermory shortly after midnight.
The lifeboat left Oban with two paramedics onboard and collected the man from a waiting ambulance at Craignure. They arrived in Oban at 1.30am on Sunday.
Sergeant Alan Moore of Oban Police Station said: “The man was taken by ambulance to Craignure Hospital where he was treated for a cut to his head and chin, a broken wrist and a broken collar bone. He was transferred to hospital in Oban.”
