Coastguards have been called to the aid of nine people aboard a stricken container ship off the west coast.
The Stornoway Coastguard was alerted when the Lysblink Seaways ran aground at Ardnamurchan Point at around 2am.
The Tobermorey lifeboat was called to assist, while a tug boat is making its way to the incident from Shetland.
The crew on-board the vessel – which is thought to be carrying paper – are said to be attempting to re float it.
A coastguard spokeswoman said: “It is a cargo vessel gone aground at Ardnamurchan Point. It is a cargo vessel carrying paper, nine people are on-board.
“There’s a tug coming down from Shetland. There doesn’t seem to be any pollution. It is just a waiting game to see if they re-float.”
