Storm conditions and wind speeds of up to 60mph have brought chaos to ferry services this morning.
Several ferries have been cancelled and there is disruption on most routes.
The Oban to Barra and South Uist is off, as are the sailings to Coll, Tiree, Colonsay and the Small Isles. The Mallaig to Lochboisdale service has also been cancelled.
Experiencing disruption are routes to Ardnamurchan, Arran, Barra, Eriskay, Bute, Cowal, Kintyre, Gigha, Harris, Iona, Islay, Lismore, Mull, North Uist and Skye.
A spokesman for ferry operator CalMac said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Argyll and Bute Council warned that its ferry to the island of Easdale will be subject to disruption throughout the day. It also said the Appin to Lismore service was not running but it hoped to start sailings again at 1pm, depending on the weather.
