The firework display has been postponed amid a yellow weather warning.
Bonfire Night celebrations were back with a bang across the Highlands after two years of pandemic cancellations.
Inverness’s display took place in a reduced capacity in 2021, so locals were excited to see the event return in full for 2022.
It is estimated around 10,000 people marvelled at this year’s fireworks, which were visible across the city. Those who ventured into the centre flocked to Bught Park to warm up by the huge bonfire and enjoy tasty treats from local business stalls.
Chilly weather didn’t deter people of all ages from wrapping up warm and heading out across the region, with bonfires and fireworks displays also taking place in Thurso, Dornoch and Drumnadrochit.
Our photographer went along to the event in Inverness to capture everyone enjoying the fun.
