North police are investigating shocking footage which shows a lorry come within inches of smashing into a car on the A9.
The video, posted on YouTube, was taken from a car’s dashcam in the village of Tomich.
It shows a lorry pulling out from a side road, apparently oblivious to the oncoming car and the car driver taking evasive action to avoid a crash.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police have been made aware of video footage of a lorry on the A9 at the Tomich junction, near Invergordon.
“The footage is currently being reviewed and police would appeal for anyone who was in the area at time and has any information to make contact them on 101”
Following the incident, the lorry appears to continue on its way along the A9, paying no attention to the near crash.
The video was posted yesterday afternoon by YouTube user ‘Jim Mac’ and has since attracted a number of responses from concerned road users.
A man has since been charged for this incident as a result we have removed the video from the website.
