Lifeboat crews on the West Coast battled stormy seas to rescue two people who had drifted out in a fishing boat near Plockton.
The coastguard first received reports of the vessel breaking its mooring at around 11.30am today amidst gale force winds.
The Kyle lifeboat, Spirit of Fred Olsen, and Portree lifeboat sped out to sea and met the drifting boat around 15 minutes later.
After checking neither of the people on board were injured, Kyle lifeboat towed the boat back to shore at Plockton.
They secured it to pontoons and were back at base in Kyle by 12.30pm.
Strong winds meant the rescue was “rough”.
Norman Finlayson, who was at the helm for the callout, said: “The wind was gusting at gale force and it was quite a rough journey, however once we were on scene, we soon had the vessel under tow.
“The crew of the fishing vessel were very well equipped, and did exactly the right thing in calling us once they began drifting.”
