A meeting is being held in Brae which hopes to gather locals’ thoughts on how Shetland’s north mainland can be improved.
Over the past few weeks, more than 500 people have engaged in Nort Natters which asks north mainland residents what changes could be made to boost the area.
Correspondence included an online survey, community workshops and drop in events at locations across the north mainland.
Now, findings from the last few weeks will be presented at a meeting in Brae next week with opportunities to add more to the conversation.
Neil Grant, Shetland Islands Council’s director of development, said: “It’s been great to hear what people love about their communities, and to get a better understanding of what some of the challenges are.
“We’re delighted so many people took the time to get involved.
“The active involvement and support of community groups and other organisations has been key to that. ”
The Nort Natters community engagement period ended on November 17, but anyone with questions can get in touch by emailing nortnatters@nesta.org.uk
The drop-in meeting will be held at Brae Hall on November 29 from 2.30pm-6.30pm.
