One person has been taken to hospital following a house fire in Inverness.
Emergency services were alerted to a blaze on Abbey Court at around 5.10pm.
Four fire appliances, as well as police and ambulance crews, were deployed.
The fire is believed to have started in a flat on the ground floor with eye-witnesses reporting seeing smoke coming out from the property.
Images show the windows of the flats on both the ground and first floors wide open as crews come in and out of the building.
A fire spokesman said: “We were called to a fire on Dunabban Road in Inverness at around 5.10pm. Four fire engines were sent out and the fire was extinguished by 6.50pm.”
Road closed with officers at scene
Dunabban Road and the surrounding area was cordoned off with officers guarding the premises.
Two ambulance crews were also sent to the incident. Police confirmed one person was taken to hospital as a precaution.
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of a house fire on Abbey Court in Inverness at around 5.20pm.
“It appears the fire started at a property on the ground floor. We have no reports of injuries at this time. One person was taken to hospital as a precaution.
“Dunabban road was closed to traffic with officers at the scene.”
