Essential works to improve the surface of a Highland road will take place next month.
Resurfacing improvements will be carried out on a section of the A82 Fort William to Inverness road at the Loch Linnhe picnic area.
The project, which is being carried out by Bear Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland, will create a “soother and safer” road for all motorists.
A 10mph convoy system will be in place over three days from Monday, December 12, between 7am and 7pm.
Overnight, a speed limit of 30mph will remain due to motorists travelling on a temporary surface.
All work will be completed by 7pm on Wednesday, December 14, if weather conditions allow.
Eddie Ross, north-west representative for Bear Scotland, said: “These maintenance works on the A82 at Loch Linnhe picnic area will help address defects and greatly improve the surface for road users.
“The use of convoy traffic management during working hours is essential to ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists.
“We thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete this project.”
All motorists are being encouraged to plan their journey ahead of time and check the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information while works are completed.
