Scottish Ministers have announced two new appointments to the board of the Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA).
Judith Webb – who has a background in forestry, conservation and agriculture – joins the board immediately, while Janet Hunter who has extensive experience in economic development will take up her appointment in September.
Board convener Duncan Bryden said: “I am delighted to welcome Judith and Janet on to the CNPA board. Both will bring a valuable and complementary set of skills and knowledge.
“With a background in forestry and landscape management Judith already has extensive board level experience. Based in Highland Perthshire and active in her local community, Janet has a commercial project management background which includes communications and renewable energy.”
The CNPA board is made up of seven members appointed by the five local authorities covering the Park area, seven directly appointed by Scottish Government Ministers and five are directly elected by the eligible voters within the Park.
Elections are currently underway for four new directly elected board members.
