The road had been closed as police carried out an investigation and cleared debris from the road, however, it was re-opened at 8pm.
A statement from BEAR Scotland confirmed: “Following earlier road traffic accident on A9 north of Kingussie this morning, BEAR Scotland has been working closely with Police Scotland and VOSA to clear debris from the site and the road has now re-opened.
“The road was closed whilst Police Scotland undertook a full accident investigation of the site and teams could begin the clear-up process.
“All diversions and traffic management have since been lifted and the route is running as normal. We would like to thank motorists for their patience while the investigation and clearance has been underway.”
