Two people have been found dead after a light aircraft crashed near Oban.
The plane, travelling from central Scotland to Tiree, was earlier reported to have crashed near Loch Etive.
Its wreckage was found by search and rescue teams in Glen Kinglass around 8pm.
The two people on board were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland confirmed radar contact with the plane was lost shortly before 2pm this afternoon.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency confirmed that three coastguard teams were sent to the scene, with teams from both Oban and Lochgoilhead involved.
The Oban lifeboat was also deployed but a spokesman from the lifeboat station confirmed the boat has been stood down after searching Loch Etive and not finding anything.
There are no details of the identities of the two passengers at this stage.
