A hillwalker with a suspected broken ankle was rescued from a remote part of Skye by lifeboat crew and mountain rescue team last night.
The injured woman had been walking with her husband around one mile south of Kylerhea on the east coast of Skye when she fell.
The Kyle lifeboat Spirit of Fred Olsen was launched at 8.10pm on Sunday night and met members of the Skye Mountain Rescue Team who were waiting at the slipway in Kylerhea.
The lifeboat then transported the rescue team to a small beach about a mile to south of where the casualty was.
The mountain rescue team and one of the lifeboat crew then walked the remained mile to reached the stranded casualty.
Once the casualty was assessed she was carried on stretcher back to the lifeboat.
The crew departed at 10.10pm taking the walker to Kyle where she then passed into the care of ambulance service.
