Two crews from the Lochaber town were alerted to the incident at Gairlochy, north of Spean Bridge earlier this afternoon. Three fire crews – two from Fort William and one from Fort Augustus – are on scene. A fire service spokeswoman said that the building, which measures 49ft by 65ft, was well alight. It is also understood that acetylene cylinders may be involved. Police are also on the scene and helping with traffic management because of smoke coming from the building.
