The north has suffered a lot of rain this weekend however it is expected to dry up for the last day of the bank holiday weekend.
Sever weather warnings were issued on Friday and Satruday as snow fell over the Scottish Highlands while torrential downpours of up to three inches of rain lashed parts of the country.
Today however is expected to be slightly more settled, allowing people to enjoy their day off work.
Although it is sunny in much of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, clouds will hover over Moray, Fraserburgh and Peterhead for most of the day.
Met Office forecaster Charles Powell however said that temperatures could rise as high 15C with hardly any rain.
He added: “We have had some snow in the Highlands of Scotland and had a snow warning out. It is early May, it is not impossible to see snow, but it is quite late in the season.
“The bank holiday has been mixed, but today many places will see some decent weather.
“It has been a mixed bag. It has by no means been a wash-out but some people will have been disappointed with the bank holiday weather.
“But everyone would have managed to go out and enjoy something.”
The unpredictable weather will strike again though, with showers forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Brighter weather will return at the end of the week, the Met Office said.
Mr Powell said: “It is all over the place, but temperatures won’t dip too much. It is very mixed but the end of the week looks better than the start.”
