The beauty of a west coast shoreline will be celebrated as part of the Wild Lochaber Festival.
A special event will be held in Glenuig Community Hall on Sunday, Mat 17 highlighting the area and its wildlife.
The theme of the day will be “from the summits to the sea” – and will feature the creation of a 3D artwork showing the route from Ben Nevis to the coastline at Glenuig
The process starts with schools workshops in Glen Nevis and will be completed on the day by children at the festival.
The whole project will be led by local artists Alison Durbin and Helen Michie, assisted by Highland Council’s countryside rangers.
Storyteller, traveller and author Jess Smith will give a presentation, while local musicians will also perform throughout the day.
The Moidart History House will discuss the past of the area, while a team from Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh will be demonstrating and explaining the geology behind the landscape.
This free event takes place in Glenuig Community Hall from 11am to 5pm. The event is joint funded by Highland Seashore Biodiversity Project and Creative Scotland’s Live Literature Fund
