Police have confirmed that two men have been arrested and reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with an alleged stabbing in a Highland town.
The incident occurred in a house on Invergordon High Street and resulted in a 40-year-old man being taken to Raigmore Hospital with serious injuries.
The men, aged 27 and 48, will remain in police custody and are expected to appear at Tain Sheriff Court on Monday.
The injured man remains in hospital at this time in a serious but stable condition.
