A rescue helicopter was deployed at 8am to take the 71-year-old female on board the Ocean Nova to Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban. A spokesman for the coastguard said: “We received a call at 8am alerting us to a woman offshore who needed medical assistance.” The Ocean Nova is a small vessel which provides air-cruises to the Antarctica, Greenland and Svalbard.
