The A9 near Tomatin has reopened following a car fire.
Emergency services were alerted to a vehicle that had caught fire just before 12.30pm.
Two appliances from Inverness were dispatched shortly after on the A9 Inverness to Perth road.
It is believed only one car was involved in the incident.
Nobody was injured.
A fire spokesman said: ” We were called to a car on fire near Tomatin on the A9 at 12.28pm.
“Two appliances were sent to the scene from Inverness. Crews arrived at 12.35pm and remain there. Police are also in attendance.
“We have so far used one breathing apparatus and four hose jets.”
A9 was closed in both directions
The road between the Tomatin turn off and the Findhorn Bridge turn off was temporarily closed in both directions.
The northbound lane reopened first, with the soundbound lane then opening again.
Police were also in attendance and helped manage traffic, with motorists facing delays of up to 30 minutes.
Last week, an 18-year-old died in a crash between a lorry and a car near Tomatin, which resulted in both vehicles going up in flames.
The section of the road near Dalmagarry Road End was closed for resurfacing works following the incident.
