A woman in her 20s was helped down from Ben Nevis after becoming exhausted halfway up the mountain at the weekend.
Six members of Lochaber Mountain Rescue went to her aid after a member of the group she was in alerted them at about 1.30pm.
The casualty, thought to be from England, had been attempting the Three Peaks challenge which involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue leader John Stevenson said: “It was probably a lack of food and drink that did it. She was suffering from exhaustion and a cold and the group had sat her down but when we got there we got her back on her feet and walked her down.”
