An angler has died after falling into the River Lochy in Lochaber following a suspected heart attack.
Police, ambulance and Fort William Coastguard were called to the scene at the Torcastle area on Saturday afternoon.
Oban Lifeboat was called out at 1.15pm, but stood down half an hour later.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland, along with other emergency services, attended an incident in the Torcastle area of the River Lochy on Saturday after reports that a man had fallen into the river.
“Sadly the man had died and his body was recovered further downstream.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and next of kin have been informed.
