A land-based RAF mountain rescue team has joined the local Lochaber team and search and rescue dogs from the Sarda charity in a fresh effort to locate a missing climber near Fort William.
Eric Cyl, 62, was last seen setting off on Saturday morning.
The focus of today’s search is an area known as Ring of Steall in the Mamore mountain range.
A coastguard helicopter, Lochaber and Glencoe mountain rescue teams and search and rescue dogs were all involved in yesterday’s effort.
When last seen, Mr Cyl, who is from outwith the Highlands, was wearing a light grey jacket and dark trousers.
He was walking alone and had two walking poles to assist him.
Anyone who may have seen him is urged to call the police on 101.
