The funeral service for the former Highland MP Charles Kennedy will be held at his home church in Lochaber this Friday.
The former Liberal Democrat leader will be remembered at a service at St John’s Catholic Church in Caol on Friday at midday.
The service will be followed by a private burial attended by his family and close friends.
Mr Kennedy died in his Fort William home last week at the age of 55-years-old from an internal haemorrhage, which his family said was linked to his alcoholism.
The church was regularly attended by Mr Kennedy and was also used by his parents.
Family flowers only are requested and donations can be made towards St John’s Church.
Mr Kennedy was an MP for the area for 32 years, having been first elected to parliament in 1983.
He lost his Ross, Skye and Lochaber seat to the SNP just three-and-a-half weeks before he died.
