Stephen Russell was reported missing after leaving his home in the Blaven Road of Portree on Tuesday. The 43-year-old has been described as an “experienced hillwalker” by police, who added there had been “concerns for his welfare”. He is 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with a shaved head and a black beard. He usually wears a beanie hat, a blue waterproof jacket and carries walking gear. He also may be wearing sunglasses. A spokeswoman for the police said: “It is believed Stephen may be walking the West Highland Way. “Anyone with information on Stephen’s whereabouts is urged to make contact with police on 101.”
