Two cars and a 4×4 collided at the junction linking the Inverness-Thurso road with the B9174, near the town’s Lidl supermarket. A police spokesman said that nobody had been injured in the accident, which happened at around 2.45pm. However, the junction was blocked for a spell as at least one of the vehicles had to be recovered.
