The TV star was spotted on the train from Glasgow to Mallaig on Wednesday as he prepared to take on the West Highland Way with his daughter.
Arnie Turnbull, 31, who was also a passenger on board the service, said he couldn’t believe his eyes when he realised the actor was sat in front of him.
Mr Turnbull, a chef in Mallaig, said: “I was the only one on the train who recognised him.
“I approached him and he was very friendly, a really top guy.
“He said he was in Scotland for four days before heading back to the USA to film another show, while his daughter goes to attend summer camp.”
“I couldn’t believe it. He is a legend.”
