Four vehicles were involved in the crash which claimed the life of a 23-year-old man
The A9 has reopened after a serious accident near Aviemore which has left a 23-year-old man dead.
The Inverness-Perth road reopened at around 5.35am, more than 14 hours after the accident which happened a mile south of the Granish junction on Monday afternoon.
The accident involved two lorries – one of them a military vehicle – as well as a car transporter and a car.
The 23-year-old man was killed in the collision.
Five other people were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness by ambulance suffering from various injuries.
