Driver escapes injury after car overturns

A driver has escaped unhurt after their car overturned in Ross-shire.

Police and an ambulance were called to the accident on the A87 Invergarry-Kyle road near Balmacara just before 9am.

A police spokesman said that the car had “overturned” and had gone off the road close to Balmacara cemetery.

However, the ambulance crew were stood down shortly afterwards after it became clear that the driver had escaped without injury.

The road was not blocked during the incident.
