Emergency services will be put to the test at Oban Airport on Saturday when a plane crash is staged.
The airport will be hosting the exercise at 11am to test the responses of the emergency services to the hypothetical incident.
A spokesman for airport operator, Argyll and Bute Council, said: “There will be a considerable number of emergency vehicles operating in and around the airport for approximately one hour.
“This exercise is being conducted in compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act and the council’s Civil Aviation Authority licence to operate Oban Airport, which specifies that a major exercise should be carried out every two years.
“The operation is called Exercise Etive and will be co-ordinated by Oban Airport Station.”
