People in the Oban, Lorn and the Isles area will have an extended opportunity to comment on parking proposals for the area after the online consultation was extended until Monday July 13.
The proposals include charging in the currently free Lochavullin car park and changing the pricing structure to allow motorists to pay for as little 15 minutes parking.
Chairman of the local area committee, Oban-based Councillor Roddy McCuish, said: “We are fully aware that this is something which really matters to people throughout the area which is why we have extended the consultation.
“I cannot emphasise enough how important it is that people take this opportunity to play a part in developing the solutions to any parking issues in the town. A strong community is one that takes ownership of its town.
“The proposals are simply that. At this stage they are just a starting point; we are eager to get constructive feedback which is why we are having this consultation.”
