Police are hunting a group of men who pulled up in a car and attacked two pedestrians by the side of a Highland road on Saturday. The pair were walking beside the A82, a mile north of Fort Augustus, when they were targeted around 3am. Their assailants were in a passing vehicle that suddenly stopped nearby. A man in his 20s suffered a serious facial injury that required hospital treatment. The other man, in his 30s, escaped unhurt. Police have urged anyone who witnessed the attack or has information about it to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
