Two teenagers have been charged in connection with an alleged incident of animal cruelty in Orkney.
A video circulating on social media appears to show a cat being thrown into the water at Stromness.
Police have confirmed two male, aged 15 and 16, have been charged in connection with the incident.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A police spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a video circulating online which appeared to show a cat being thrown into water in the Stromness area of Orkney.
“Two male youths, aged 15 and 16, have been charged in connection with the incident and a report surrounding the circumstances will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“We would like to thank the public for their assistance.”
