A rescue operation is under way to airlift a man from a passenger vessel off Lewis.
The male was travelling onboard a boat to the west of the Outer Hebrides when the crew raised the alarm.
HM Coastguard received a call for assistance at 4.03pm this afternoon.
It is understood plans are being put in place to airlift the passenger off the vessel.
The exact nature of the emergency is unknown at this time.
