An army of dog lovers has been pounding the streets of Oban looking for a deaf and blind dog that has been missing for eight days.
Molly, a blind and deaf Yorkshire terrier cross disappeared from the home of owner Justine Swann in Glencruitten Drive after the garden gate was left open.
The tiny family pet is 17-years-old and has been confined the garden for the past few years because of her health concerns.
Posters have been put up all over the town bearing Molly’s photo, while her details have also been widely shared on social media.
Oban people have searched around the town, including in ditches, roads and fields but so far no trace of the disabled wee dog has been found.
Ms Swann, 43, said: “It’s like she has just disappeared. My hope is that someone has seen her and taken her in to look after her.
“She was never one for wandering far. Even when she was younger she wouldn’t leave the street and for the last few years she’s only been as far as our garden.”
Molly was bought from the Argyll Animal Aid rescue centre when she was a puppy.
She shared the home with Ms Swann’s other dogs – three-year-old Lab Jackson and Yorkshire terrier Lilly, 9.
Ms Swann added: “Lilly keeps sitting looking out the window for Molly all the time. They were so close, it’s breaking my heart.
“I have put posters up all round the area to spread the word as much as possible. Molly has been an amazing dog, the best we have ever had.
“Not knowing where she is and what has happened to her is dreadful.”
Ms Swann was working last Monday night, when Molly went missing.
Her son, Jordan, 19, had let all the dogs out in the garden, last thing at night as usual, unaware that the gate was ajar.
