A yacht with two people on board was in danger of sinking in a sea loch off a Hebridean island, but it is now being towed to safety.
The Khamis was off Tarbert in Harris when it started taking in water at about midday. It is unclear at this stage as to why this happened.
A Stornoway Coastguard spokesman said that one of the people on board raised the alarm and Leverburgh Lifeboat was launched at about 12.20pm this afternoon.
However, a nearby fish farm vessel, the Ailsa Craig, went to the rescue and was towing the boat to safety at Scalpay Harbour.
A Coastguard spokesman: “Everyone is OK now.”
