A leading charity is urging businesses across the Highlands to get running to raise money for people affected by cancer.
Macmillan Cancer Support wants dozens of local firms to take part in the 10k Corporate Challenge in Inverness as part of the Baxters Festival of Running on September 27.
Teams of between four to six runners can enter the event, which is open to all sectors of business and industry in the public and private sector.
As well as raising money for charity, teams compete for the corporate challenge trophy with the times of the fastest four contributing to the final score.
Macmillan’s fundraising manager in the north of Scotland Christina Keith said: “This event offers the perfect opportunity for team-building, giving colleagues the incentive to train and encourage each other to achieve their potential, regardless of running ability or fitness.
“If you prefer a team approach to sport, then this is the ideal race for you especially as the route is scenic, flat and packed with rousing supporters along the way.”
The 10k corporate challenge starts at 10.45am on Sunday, September 27 on the south side of Inverness and finishes at Bught Park in the city centre.
